you need to enter your credit card/debit card details on this
By clicking the button below you affirm that you understand and agree that, when your trial period ends or you exceed your trial credit, whichever comes first, your credit card will be charged the price of the plan checked above; please be certain that this is the plan you'd like.
You can cancel at any time by visiting https://www.emusic.com/cancel.html
Trial lasts 14 daysI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0 -
Be aware that they are not yours for life: MSE advertised an offer not so long ago where you could get 6 months of unlimited downloads for £18 via groupon. I took this offer up....since the offer ended (and I cancelled) I have lost all the tracks I had previously downloaded. E-music would then be a subscription based service (and a pretty poor version of that tbh as most well known tracks are not on their site). Buyer beware!0

I've been an emusic customer for years and what I have downloaded has been mine to keep; not sure if you are confusing emusic with another service as in my experience emusic offers MP3s which have no DRM control (i.e. no play limitations).
As regards their selection, emusic is a fantastic site for INDEPENDENT music, it does not particularly deal with the mass-produced chart stuff you tend to hear on the radio. If you want chart stuff try iTunes, Amazon, mflow, etc; if you want non-chart stuff (world, jazz, metal, folk, etc) then emusic is as good as any out there.

I agree with erasion. I used a free code/offer/cashback thing using E-music maybe 3 years ago. I still have the tracks to listen to and cancelling was easy. I was very disappointed with the choice of music though and struggled to find the full no of free tracks to download. Hopefully they have a bigger catalogue now.
It's only a game

Oh and be careful. The link to "cancel at any time" doesn't work, neither does the link in their t&cs. You'll have to email them or phone the 0845 no.

I had no issues with cancelling- I did so via email and their customer service does seem to be responsive so I'd advise emailing if your having any problems, but in regards to the keeping downloads after you have cancelled: yes, we are talking about the same e-music (there is only one of them!) Not a problem if you stick with them for good but at the cost of doing so you'd really want to make sure you like what they have to offer first as its not loaded with well known tracks like other sites.
Can be an interesting site to find stuff you've never heard of before but only if searching for unheard/different music amid the mess of other not so good stuff (can take a long time IMO) is something you like to do. Am not rating nor slating the site, just posting to let others know my experience, your own opinions are totally up to you, just wanted to post to mention, so do have a check through the site first and bear in mind you don't get to keep it after you have cancelled.0 -

This is simply wrong - I've just downloaded some tracks, they contain no DRM, so there is no way for emusic to delete them. I've also cancelled the trial. The link to "cancel at any time" doesn't work
I just went into "my account" and cancelled it and it worked fine with no problems.0 -
Did this offer about 4 months ago. Still have the MP3's, no probs there and easy to cancel.
Found the site a little less user friendly than others, but good range of stuff across loads of genres.0 -
Thanks I have signed up and impressed, worked out two albums I downloaded were four pounds cheaper than itunes so going to stay signed up to it, now listening to a free audio book and loving it, so great link thanka
Giving up chocolate should justify it and pay for it for me0 -
I did decide to cancel in the end, the audio books looked okay for possible use in future, but to charge such a large yearly fee even though yes they have some good music, they just dont have enough up to date new music that could compare with amazon or itunes.
Imagine it new album comes out you just gotta have I tested a few titles from now and past months and apart from kate bush, could not find them.
They are cheap on individual downloads not doubt, but just not for me after all. To be fair their cancel online link was up and running and cancelled me for both promptly.
Might take a look in future to see if has more selection but a no go at the mo0
