Zoflora

Hi

I am sure there will already be a thread about this but I just don't have the time to go through them all.

The problem is, I can't use rubber gloves as I have an allergy problem. Bought and mixed Zoflora with my Stardrops today and totally microfibred the bathroom (Bouquet by the way). My hands are now totally stinking of rather stale Zoflora. Should I just use the old and tried method of cooking oil/salt to cleanse or is there an easier way?

Don't know about the Zoflora but have you tried the plastic disposable gloves which have no latex in, I use a lot of them as allergic to the latex and most of the cleaning products. I get them from the £1 shops usually, in packs of about 40/50 pairs.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Thanks lil-me.

Will try to source them - will try the £1 shop in next couple of days. Just off to make the dinner - freezer so packed with cooked meals etc. DH is having pre-cooked Pheasant and I am having mince.

DGS here tomorrow for night before I go back to work - hooray (maybe)! Seriously, they are always so good when here.

If you don't find them locally can also get them online, search for plastic disposable gloves, some sellers on eBay have them aswell as other online shops.

Why have you mixed the two???? You shouldn't mix two different cleaning products together!!!!!!!!

Zoflora shouldn't leave a "stale" smell at all!!

To cleanse your hands a good wash with a mild soap and water then moisturise with some hand cream should be sufficient.

I am sure the thread I read was to mix Zoflora with Stardrops - it certainly hasn't done any harm. Am I doing wrong?

Have just done my hands with cooking oil and salt (which I do after gardening) and all fine now.

Haven't read that post, but I would still question the logic behind it!! Do you have a link to that post?

I'm coming straight back to this because it is something that I feel strongly about and is very important!!!

Mixing chemical cleaners can be fatal in some cases

    Please read this thread:-

Thanks for your reply. Bottle has now been poured down sink! No Zoflora and Stardrops. Will keep them totally separate! My brain is mince just now and I must have got totally confused.

I did wash my hand thoroughly but the smell remained - see previous post.

I have added a post to what I believe is the thread where you got the suggestion plus added a new thread warning about mixing chemicals.

Great tip about the oil and sugar though ;):D

I use Zoflora in the bathroom (lavender) and in the kitchen (citrus) but very sparingly, as it is a powerful disinfectant AND the smell can linger for quite a while.

Occasionally I put quite a few drops in the water when I mop the floors - I have bare floorboards- and not only it makes my entire flat smell nice, the mop remains fresh.

    :)
