This is my grand plan

Once I receive my payment this month and pay off what I can, I will be left with 2 credit cards, one 0% and one not, totalling £19,540. Eek.

The 0% will end in 15 months. I plan to pay minimum payment on this and get rid of the non-0 as quick as I can.

The ultimate plan is to then build up enough so that I am able to pay off the 0% when the offer ends, leaving me debt free (and perhaps even with a little stash set aside) in Nov 2012 J

Card 1 – (Aug 2,040.00)
Card 2 – (Aug 17,500.00)
Savings – (Aug 40.16)
Difference – (Aug 19,499.84)
*No debts* ;)

Good luck with you plan, I've managed to secure some 0% deals with I plan to use to become debt free by December 2012; so I'll be just after you!

It takes a lot of hard work but I can't help but think of all the great things I can do once I've paid off my debts and have the amount I used to pay off my debts left every month! :T

I know what you mean. When I think about the things I could have bought with the money I've washed down the drain.....

We're in a similar boat, I've just secured two 0% cards - one for 18 month £10,500 and one for 24 months £7400. The thing is that I'd love to be able to pay them off within the time limit but would be looking at £891 and I just can't see me managing that! I'm still puzzling over a plan of action - I've set up a set payment of £300pcm on the 24 month card so need to sit down and work out how much I can pay off the other above the minimum payment. Still, it's fantastic to know that I will be working hard to pay off the debt and not working hard to pay off the interest charges :)

    Good luck everyone

Well hopefully at the end of your int free you'll be able to transfer the balance again to another int free :)

Just wanted to say well done to all of you transfering as much as you can over to 0% cc's. :T

We did this, and although we didn't manage to pay it all off, we did manage to make one Hell of a dent in it :D. But not only that, by having everything at 0%, it managed to give us the breathing space we needed to gain momentum as we watched the debt go down (without the interest topping it back up again!) and down and down. ;)

    Best of Luck everyone,
