Problem with Tesco online shopping code

I did an online shop with Tesco for the first time this week using a £15 off £50 shop code from Quidco. When I put it in an error message came up saying 'code has been used too many times'. I was quite suprised as i've never used a code before so I phoned up Tesco's to tell them.
The lady told me that it was a public code and once it gets used a lot of times it will expire. I told her that I thought that was very unfair.
She gave me the option of paying full price and then phoning back through after delivery to claim a refund! I soon told her where to go with that idea!
She then went off to 'see what she could do' and then came back wtih an alternative code for £15! Hurray! So i managed to get my shopping for £39 (inc £3 delivery costs)
It pays to put your foot down!
