is it worth paying £15 to get a ccj marked as settled?

my partners has got a 4 yr old ccj on her credit report which she paid off a couple of years ago. she's never bothered getting a letter from the creditor and sending it off to get a certificate of satisfaction.
Is there a good reason she should pay to have it marked as settled?

I would. £15 is annoying but cheap when it boils down to having a clear credit rating. Hth, SF0

I think it helps when you are applying for new loans, cards, mortgages etc, as they can tell it was settled.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

I agree, settled is a lot better.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
