Started making changes!

Hi all, still have to post our SOA, am getting all the details together but feeling much more positive (don't know how much longer that will last lol). have started making cutbacks after reading other threads:-

Have cancelled mobile phone contracts and ordered 2 free PAYG sim cards - courtsey of Martins e-mail.
Have cancelled Sky and got a Freeview box from my brother
Have cancelled existing Home & Contents ins and got it a lot cheaper from another company saving £26 per month
Water is now going to be changed to a meter (after much crying to the water company)
Am paying somebody ( a singe mum with 3 children) to take my son to school with her when she takes her children - it normally costs me £13 for a week rider on the bus but she at first wouldn't take anything but when I insisted she would only let me pay her £5 a week as she says she is going anyway so very grateful to her. Have offered babysitting duties though and also offered my husband to her (no, not like that!!!) for any odd jobs she wants doing around the house.
Have started to claim back £826 in charges from the Halifax
Have sold a bag of baby clothes on e-bay for £20
Have sold a bag of my 7 year old sons old clothes to my sister-in-law for her 6 year old - yes, I know its mean - I just used to give her them and feel awful but they were all in really good condition, like new,
Bought baby daughters new clothes from Asda rather than from M&S - can't believe the price difference.
Eaten the whole contents of the freezer - couldn't believe what was in there (thanks Lynzpower!!!) so had no shopping bill this week, have also made lots of stew etc to freeze.

Anyway, thats it for now but its a start and the way I mean to go on and if I can do it, anybody can. You don't have to live in poverty just because you are in debt, there are ways and means to everything!!!
