This is the edited version of LordBase reply!!! All ok?
Can i ask for a copy of the engagement letter that i should of seen upfront and then signed, where i would of needed to agree to appoint you as my agent and know and accept any forthcoming charges.
Im sure that you appreciate that without a signed engagement letter a court is very unlikely to accept that there was a contract in place and that without a contract you have no legal right to demand money from me.
If you continue to pursue the alleged "debt". I will be writing to your professional institute Disciplinary & Ethics Committee with an official complaint, As everyone knows all upstanding accountants are members of a professional body.
Regards
Do this by email ok? and either can be met with a response of forget it.... but if met with more challenges then write a letter of complaint to the professional body!!! They have a website with all their names and senior people so wont need to ring.0 -
If he hasn't got IDs from you, copy of passport or friving licence, copy of recent utility bills, bank account details, he may also be in breach of the anti-money laundering regulations.0

Just a small point.......You should change your "should of/would of" to "should have/would have", it always looks better to get things correct when writing an e mail or letter IMHO.0 -

Now that he realises that you are not going to pay, I doubt that you will ever hear from this chancer again."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0
