kenwood breadmaker opinions wanted!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-Breadmaker-Prog-White-BM250/dp/B000G3JTTE/sr=11-1/qid=1168011862/ref=sr_11_1/026-6100794-0925259

I want a cheap breadmaker, and this seems about the cheapest inc delivery. Anyone got this one? Or anyone got one cheaper? I've joined pigsback and quidco but can't find amazon on there for cashback...

Many Thanks!

I have the Kenwood fastbake which is the bm200 model and its really quite good. Mind you they have come down a lot in price, I paid about £90 for mine a few years ago.

I cant compare with a panasonic as i've never used one but I have made consistently good bread in the kenwood.

good to know kenwood is a good make for them though. I always worry with electricals/furniture if buying the cheapest is a a false economy...

Don't know about the Kenwood, but my OH did loads of research before settling on the Panasonic SD253. It's more expensive than the Kenwood but has been absolutely brilliant. We've used it almost every day for nearly 2 years now and can't recommend it highly enough.

I've got the Kenwood RapidBake - can't remember the model number though! It's about 5 years old and has been used almost daily, and I still haven't managed to break it yet! It is slightly noisier now than it was, and the non-stick coating has just about worn out on the bread pan, but there are no other problems.

    A bargain I'd say!

I was going to ask about this as I saw it today in Comet for £39.99, so this is an even better deal. I am unsure of spending money on the Panasonic but everyone seems to rave about it. Also when I checked out Amazon there's lots of reviews about the Panasonic, which might be worth you reading.

    Hope this link works.

Good Luck, I just don't want to waste the £40 pounds and then wish I'd gone for the Panasonic - oh decisions decisions eh?

Thanks everyone, I've given it a good few days research, and think this machine is right for me at the moment.

    Thanks for the link rabbit!

    I'm off to order this.
This morning I got the dehydrator from tchibo, so I'll have bread and dried stuff!

It looked very good in Comet, the recipe/ instruction booklet looked really helpful with a trouble shooting section. Also I like the see through window on the top. All in all I thought it looked good. I am really tempted now to take the plunge!

    Hope you like it.
