Dont know if this of use to anyone but when i went in today to spend some vouchers i had been given,i noticed food hampers in wickerbaskets containing 2 bottles of wine,i bottle of mulled wine, cake etc.plus various other things.THere were two other sizes (maybe not in baskets(?)reduced to £12 ish and £6 ish.
Thanks to the customer next to me who saved me wasting my money when i told her i was a)on a post christmas diet and b) out shopping for the essentials with my vouchers ,to save spending cash saying "be strong"-i was. I appreciate that hampers may sometimes not be the best value but hope this might help someone. The large one is reduced by 75% i think. There were some biscuits in one pack expiry date feb, otherwisw they were all much later in the year expiry dates.

Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Can you freeze christmas cakes and puddings and things? I'm not very good at this whole kitchen thing. But it would be good ish value for some of those hampers if I could store the stuff for next year.:A

Toto,
check the use-by dates on the puddings. We had a luxury vintage Tesco pudding on Christmas day that we bought last Christmas. It was still within the date. Keep it in a cool place and it should be fine.
We have already bought a Sainsbury luxury one for next year - reduced to half price.
