Credit card payments

Ok, here goes.... I have 2 credit cards that are over the limits, now I have contacted the companies and asked them if I could pay reduced payments and they agreed which is fine... my only problem is Im throwing money away because the reduced payments are doing nothing to bring down the total balances and therefore my question is how do I go about asking them to freeze everything on the account to let me get it up to date (if that makes sense)?
Thanks folks

Are they still charging interest and over limit charges etc?
You could write to them and ask if they will agree to freeze interest & charges and explain you are struggling financially. This might get them to agree to it (though they don't have to). Or they might ask to see an income & expenditure statement to see you are paying all you can afford and then might consider freezing it after that.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
