Can you post up some more details about your debt? Credit card balances, min payments, your monthly income etc.
There is a sticky at the top of this forum for a SOA calculator which would be helpful if you can fill that in.
It may also be worth giving CCCS a call too, a free debt charity which can advise you.Old Account RecoveredDebt at LMB April 2009= £14,980Debt free Sometime in November 2013£69k left of 90k Mortgage - Overpaying by £270 a monthCurrent Savings = £13000MSE turned my life around years ago0 -
Hi there
Sorry you're having a bad time with it but a lot of people on here have had success with negotiating small payments to creds so keep your chin up x*No debts*

Hi southport
Have you been in touch with any of the debt charities yet?
When you sent the letter to your creditors did you include an income & expenditure account or just an offer of payment?
Some letters are inevitable, and some they are required to send legally (such as default notices before they put a default on your credit file).
But you can send a template letter to request that they stop calling you and for all communication to be in writing.
It would probably be useful if you can complete the statement of affairs and post on here so people can best advise you on a way forward long term - http://www.makesenseofcards.com/soacalc.htmlA smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
