Friday 12th August - what small DFW things will you be doing??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :T :j
Good morning lovelies  yay to Friday's!!! :j last day at work for the week & a weekend of seeing friends & family, eating lovely food & of course drinkin the obligatory wine :j
:j
So lets see what I can do to limit the damage! (oh & I am definately up for getting things done & making the working day speed by - who is with me today???

Good morning all,
Feeling great today after being a bit ill on Wed. Managed 2 NSD's so far this weekend and only spent £6.77 of my weekly £40 budget. This is a triumph for me! Hoping I don't spend too much at the weekends as this is usually my downfall, don't have much plans so hopefully that means not spending much pennies!
Today:
-Woke up with a smile on my face!
-Checked both bank accounts, council tax arrears came off and all looks good.
-Have a productive day at work, after being off on Wed got a bit to catch up on.
-Not eat any crap from vending machines at work
-free tea, coffee & water at work
-Possible lunchtime walk, depends how lazy I am feeling
-Have a NSD! and if not a LSD No reason to go to shops today as we have everything thats needed in the house but might go have a wine at my friends tonight
-update budget.
Have a great day all xxxx0 -

Morning!
As a teacher in England I still have 3 more weeks off thankfully!
The surveyor is coming today to value the house for the new mortgage - its got plenty of equity in it (bought it 10 years ago before the markets went bonkers) but it will be interesting to see what's worth now.
My friend has emailed to cancel a Jamie at Home party tonight - not disappointed as I didn't really want to spend anything and you always feell obliged at these things! It will also save me a kennel fee too as she lives quite a way away and I'd stay overnight so money saving all round :T.
Small things for today...- Check banks and marvel at my wealth before the bank takes it all! DONE
- Hoover and dust downstairs DONE
- Walk dog lots DONE
- Do at least 2 hours school work
- All food from stores DONE
- Finish shopping list for tomorrow DONE
- Maybe watch free Lovefilm DVD - have The Kings Speech and the Lincoln Lawyer to get through - such a hardship!
- Try to sort out tax rebate of about £200 - that will go towards my living room redecoration fund (need about £1000 I think for carpet, wallpaper, paint, soft furnishings and labour)
- Look into reclaiming PPI on old loan (paid off now) for conservatory (would be lovely to get something back)
- Do one load of washing (cushion covers didn't get washed yesterday as it was waste to just put these on) Will do tonight
- Do nails - they're shocking after all the manual work lately:o:o Will do tonight as I'm not going out now
- Maybe pop to buy picture I've been deliberating over - last purchase for new look house for now - promise! DONE - Looks very nice of I say so myself!
ETA - Ex OH came round unannounced to collect his desk (good its gone though, more space) and left me fuming so have been a bit sidetracked - didn't lose my temper while he was here but have had a blo*dy good rant since! His attitude has totally justified my decision and proved me right!0 -
Hi Cassidy- back to school for me too it's a thought. I will be fine when I get there

I'm going to go into Glasgow tomorrow for work stuff- however if this rain keeps up probably better going to braehead or silverburn.
