99P Birds Eye Frozen Fresh Meals - Sainsburys's

Sorry if this is posted on the wrong page. I remember seeing some threads before about cheap food but can't find them.

At my Local Sainsbury's they are selling Bird Eye FROZEN steam fresh meals for 99p. It was on a main offer board, therefore I expect you may find them in all Sainbury's.

They are a relatively new product, and Sainsbury's obviously have told Bird Eye, they aren't selling well and want to get rid of the stock. Probably something to do will their lack of advertising as usual and Sainsbury's hate good competition! They came on the market for about £2.99, so 99P is an excellent price.

This is great bargain for those of you who have got room in your freezers. I have brought them before and I think they taste good.

Most of them are chicken based, Thai chicken with rice, oriental chicken with noodles, tomato & basil chicken with pasta.
For those of you who don't go for microwave meals, these are reasonably good nutrition wise, quite a bit of veg in, and loads of flavour.

Please leave me some for next week !

Thanks. Will have a look in Sainsburys next week. I've tried one of those Steam Fresh Meals before and thought it was nice. :)

They do taste nice but I nearly choked on one of the green beans cos it was so stringy. It gave me quite a fright so much so, I complained to Birds Eye.

That reminds me of the people who complained to McDonald's because their coffee was 'too hot'. Now how would we go about complaining to Mother Nature that her green beans are unacceptably stringy? Let's give her a break today at least, with it being her day...

Obviously I think I had a valid complaint - I'm just glad it wasn't one of my children who tried to swallow the bean.

If i'm thinking of the same thing as you then they have never sold for £2.99 and have beena round for a few weeks now. They usually sell for about £1.29 and sometimes shops have them BOGOF:)
