My old printer has died, so i'm looking and need to buy a new one quite quick.
I've been looking at tesco at these 2, but as i'm not to technical, can anyone give me any ideas as to what to choose.
thanks

I was looking at the 1st one, as it says it has a sd memory card reader, which somebody said i need, but i don't print pictures, i just want to be able to print things like holiday documents, and the odd document.
thanks

How important will scanning output be?
How much printing will you do?0 -
Don't scan much, really nothing, just odd times when driving licence needs scanning.....................
printing, mostly to print out flight tickets, travel insurance, and the odd recepie on the web.
apart from that can't remember when i last used the printer.
thanks0 -
If it were me, and it was going to be an HP Printer. the two ways I would look at these are, save some money and get this
http://www.bestbuy.co.uk/product/1000135603/HP-Deskjet-F1050-All-in-One-Printer.aspx?ref=AW&loc=OfferoftheDay&awc=2533_1313101239_53d43d6fb9db982e3ced8ee1ee167bdb#product-details-details
Or
Invest another £20 in a printer which will produce documents etc at a higher quality, maybe handy if you do want to print the odd photo
Dixons and PC World should also have this

I did look at that one, as we do have a very old computer under the stairs, which i'm sure if going to pack up soon, infact it's only got 256mb............lol
and i use my lap top mostly, which is why i though wireless was the way to go.0 -
sorry forgot to say, it doesn't have to be hp, my broken one is a brother one, just my computer and lap top are hp, and i've always found them to be good.
Is that link for currys a different model to the one in tesco, only when i click on reviews the same ones keep coming up for both printers.
thank you0 -
I typed B110A in to amazon and got CN245B
The HP site lists part numbers and has CN245B for the B110A which makes sense to me
So, cheaper at Currys it seems

Epson printers usually have a better availability of compatible cartridges, however, genuine cartridges have an anti clogging agent and not all compatibles do, so given that printing is a rare event, using genuine cartridges won't break the bank and will always be ready to print
Either of the printers in post 4 will do, though I would prefer to have more options available and would get the one from Currys, if they have it in stock there or at Dixons or PC World it fits in with the need to replace it soon. You also get to look at it and see if you like it or not.
I went to Currys and they actually recommended the cheaper of two products

Thank you, i'm going to pc world to buy that one tomorrow.

Hope it goes well0

Well i bought it, and paid £39 for it, could have got it a bit cheaper on line, but would have been at work when it was delivered.
Set it up on friday night (all on my own) :T
Looks a nice machine, much nicer than my old brother one.
Very pleased with it, prints are clear and fast (much fater than the old one)
There are printers out there that are better, but for someone who's not techi i'm pleased with it, and would recommend it.
Thank you very much for your help Santer0 -
Glad it worked out and thank you for letting me know
From here you can get original ink or compatibles, I use them for compatibles for an Epson I have
Check with them they are the correct ones, and also check elsewhere for other prices

Although you won't usually do much photo printing, these have a competitive range of high quality paper
http://www.photopaperdirect.com/
If you live near them, they do not mind if you pop in to collect, or ask questions etc, they will also send sample sheets
HP provide a lot of information for getting the best out of your printer, so maybe worth a look at their site now and again
