Hip hip hooray

Well, after finally facing up to having a financial problem about 18 months ago, going public - talking to my partner about my out of control money issues and crying with my mother. I am pleased and proud to say that today WE made the final payment on MY debt.
In the last 18 months following advice on here, scrimping, saving cutting out all the unneccessary spends we have cleared 2 credit cards, 2 bank loans, an overdraft totalling £45,000!
My mum, husband, family and friends have been amazing. The banks and credit card companies were no help whatsoever.

So, if you are one of those people wondering where to start - take one day at a time, talk to your nearest and dearest and give yourself a pat on the back for being on this site.

This evening - for the first time in forever, fish and chips from the local chippy to celebrate a new start ...... and MSE - THANK YOU :T

No 1 - stop shopping on the internet where money does not seem real!
No 2 - keep up mine and my husbands ebay challenge - but thats another story!
No 3 - build in treats
No 4 - keep listing daily spends
No 5 - stay married to my best friend

...... and I could go on!!!
