Am I in trouble with the Tax Man?
Immaturity
I have just started earning a bit of money from the article writing site, InfoBarrel through Google Adsense and Amazon and Chitika.
Not more than £10 in the last month or so.
(Sorry if this in the wrong area).
But I have been earning on Adsense previously (like a year a go), but didn't earn very much - I aren't near the payment threshold.
I am a student also
Will I be fined for not signing-up to to self-employed, I am going down to the local tax office tomorrow to ask for advice and see what the deal is.

Not sure where you stand on the Adsense as most people never actually crystallise their earnings, so if you've never had a payout and are never likely to it seems a bit burdensome having to go through self-assessment every year... you probably have to though, even though Google can close your account on a whim giving you no opportunity to see any money.
Other than the admin side, there is no drawback to registering self-employed. Just make sure you get a small-earnings exemption from NICs.0
