Annual Credit Report

Hi all
Can anyone answer a question about the Annual Credit Report site please? I checked my credit report with them last July and I'm pleased to say I had a really high credit score, however recently I've had a credit card application refused!
:shocked:
My credit rating is still the same when I checked yesterday. Or is it possible it's been updated and that I will need to pay again to get my revised score?
If anyone knows please enlighten me!!
