I used to do a car boot on sunday at a farm up the clyde valley - its in a field with no cover so if raining probably not a good idea. It was ok when dry but people will try to get as much of a bargain as you can and we usually had to be at the field for roughly 7am - usually full by 7.30pm if I remember right.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

I am debating between Polmadie and lanark just now, done Polmadie twice made a fair bid, did Lanark made much less, they are both well organised, we were at Polmadie 5.30 and got a space no problem, cant remember about lanark but again it was no problem, no queuing overnight! The only thing I preferred about lanark is you get half hour to set up before doors are opened, Polmadie they all swamp you and we had some stuff stolen as they all try and open your bags and boxes, but after the initial crowd backs off its fine. overall I think Polamdie is best for profit, just answered my own wee debate :-)0

Weekend of 20/21 August :
There is one at Tescos in Renfrew next saturday (20 August) which I think starts around 8.30am. There are usually 2 held here a year and attracts about 50 cars.
Also a regular monthly one at Bargarran in Erskine. Havent ever done this one so dont know how good it is.
Finally, a one off at Sainsburys car park in Strathaven, Lanarkshire.
September - the Wallneuk Church in Paisley (across the road from Halfords) have a regular sale on the first saturday of each month. Usually has about 40+ cars (thats as many as they can fit in) and a few indoor tables in the church hall. Entry from about 8.30 and lasts till around 12.30. Has a good mix of local people just selling stuff off, and, from my experience, few regulars.
If anyone attends any of these, perhaps they could feed back here with details.0
