Thursday 11 August - what small DFW things will you be doing??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :T :j
Hello small thingers :hello:
I am up for it again today! Who's with me?!! :rotfl: Counldn't resist a bit of DNMS-esque banter to start us off
Here's DFW life avec moi:

Love y'all xxxx

Morning All - I've been absent without leave for a while, but am working from home today for the first time AGES so have an opportunity to post:j Have already done nearly 2 hours work and am due on a work night out later - may need a sneaky afternoon nap
Anyway list for today:
Move money around - big OP to CC as tax refund has finally arrived :j
Update banking/budget spreadsheet
Pop to town with list to get leaving present for work do tonight (have got collection money)
Lots of washing on drying on airer as not done any this week yet

Good morning,
Yesterday was a horrible day, woke up feeling like crap, tried to stick it out at work but got sent home in the first hour. Spent all day curled up in bed/sofa and generally just fell in and out of sleep. Feeling alot better today though, ready and raring to go!
Today:
-Catch up on work missed yesterday, desk is full!
-LSD (already spent £1 on bus fare and need to get in shop food for shopping tonight)
-Make use of free drinks at work
-Not eat crap from the choccy machine!
-Check banking & update budget
-Pssibly hit Step Aerobics tonight, didn't do my Zumba last night as I was ill!
Have a good day all x0 -

Happy thursday everyoneGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Morning all - just checked the bank and there's an extra £20,000 in there! Fortunately, its not a mistake - it my mortgage repayment ISA that I've cashed in to pay off the loan and put the rest towards a straightforward repayment mortage that's going through now.
So, I'm off to the bank in a bit (when I've had a shower!) to pay off the approx £12,000 loan and give the remaining £8000 to the mortgage people before I spend it!
That means that I'm effectively debt free:j:j
I do have approx £900 on the CC but am getting a £3500 bonus next payday that will pay this off before the statement comes.
So that's a BIG WHOPPING DFW THING for today, here's the little things....- Pop to bank to triumphantly pay off the loan:T
- Walk dog lots
- All food from stores
- Do at least 4 hours school work
- Put kickboards back in the kitchen
- Buy and post birthday card for ex-OH
- Transfer decorators money from savings to cover cheque I gave him
- Phone mum from free landline
- Try putting old blind back up
- Phone blind company to see when new wooden blind for office room is being fitted
- Put dry washing away
- Wash cushion covers
