lol never thought it was gonna be so much work going to have to start doing them from 6pm onwards when my little one is tucked up in bed!

Only do what you enjoy. It can become a bit like a dutiful gym membership otherwise. ;)

I know, I've been spending a ridiculous amount of time on here, I'm scared to miss one!

I spend a lot of time too, but the forum community is as important as the comps. Without that, I wouldn't be here nearly so much.

  • First - let me thank you all who post competitions on here - I love you all.

Some points I wanted to raise

    1. Does anyone get the feeling that you have less chance of winning the competitions posted on here - rather than you would entering a competition not posted on the forums?

    2. Worst Prizes - I think the worst prizes to win are usually books and DVDs - because they go so cheap you don't get much for them when you flog them on eBay

    3. Does anyone think It makes a difference say If you enter a women mag online competition being a male??

    2. I'm shocked to hear you say 'Worst Prizes'! Is there such a thing?! I'm chuffed to bits with any little wins I have and like Heavenly only enter if it's something I want or could use. I would be much happier to hear of someone win who wanted it tbh.

    1. It's often been said on here that you're most likely to win local competitions or tie-breakers etc because less people enter.

    1. Maybe but the majority of these competitions are already posted on competition sites and can get thousands of entries. E.g. I received e-mail today which states how many entries they've had
"There were 3144 entries since our last draw." ... so what's another 50 odd on top of that if posted here.

    2. I'd only really enter CD comps of ones I'd actually want - e.g. same with baby clothes - why would I want to enter those when I don't have a baby/don't like the singer... chances are if I win something I don't want, it may not sell and I'd be stuck with it... Just remember there are people who may really want to win the prize and can use it.

    3. Don't think it does or that's them being sexist!

    D :)

    Thanks chuck!

Some prizes I keep, some I flog on eBay because I'ld rather have the cash.

I do not like registering when I do competitions. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Does anybody think the subject of each competition could be posted as E:01/02/07R if regestering is required?

I think that is a good idea :)

Don't you think its difficult enough to get everything right when posting, without adding something else?
I'm just pleased to enter competitions, and it up to us to do a little bit of work. You've got the bread and butter, I think asking for the Jam is a bit much.
