Hi Everyone,

Just looking for some recommendations or suggestions as to a nice restaurant in the city centre of Belfast which does a set menu including wine or a good meal deal?

Myself and my girlfriend fancy a nice meal but at a good price as its not a special occassion or anything.

I know there are loads during the week but couldn't find any for Friday nights.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

No 27 on Talbot Street do a pre theatre 5.30 - 7, if you can get there that early. It's £9.95 for a main and a glass of wine, the food is very good.

The Metro Brasserie of The Crescent Townhouse hotel do excellent food too, it's an early menu there though has to be before 7, 2 courses and a glass of wine for £12.95.

Thanks very much, we have been to The Crescent Townhouse a few years ago and it was indeed very good.
We havent been to No.27 Talbot yet so that could be a nice change. I'd love a starter main and bottle of wine but I suppose thats a lot to ask for a Friday night!

Your suggestions are very much appreciated, I shall check out the menus!

I think you'l struggle for decent food, of good quality and a bottle of wine to be honest.

You could always buy a bottle of house, it's normally house you'd get anyway. There is a place not far from the city centre, but it's more of pub grub, can't remember what it's called but they offer a set menu and a bottle of wine. It's in an alley between The cupcake cafe and Coco.

There is a pre theatre meal on here every day and my hubby and I love it. Its not in the best spot but the food and service is fab.

  • Thank you so much for the link and time taken to reply.

I actually had a look on here earlier as I had heard good reports but I couldn't find the pre theatre menu on the website. Maybe I am missing it or maybe they don't post it on the website?

    Thanks again

Yeah, me:nu isn't bad. Have been a couple of times. It is unbelievable how very, very few people it seems to attract, though. I would walk past there a fair bit and have never once seen more than 8 or 10 people in the place...!

Think that's Browns. I've had lunch there and it was good but I think it's changed hands since - it was certainly closed for a while.
