'Direct to lender' offer?

Hi all,

I am currently in the process of selling a property and using some savings and little profit gained to get a 2 year fixed with NatWest at 5.65%

As we only have 10% deposit we figured that this was a pretty decent rate and hoefully at the end of the 2 years be able to access the 85% LTV market.

Anyway, after having an agreement in principle for the mortgage another 'whole market, independant' financial advisor has suggested that he could get a 'direct to lender' offer of a 2 years fixed at 4.69%.

Obviously, this is a much better rate and as far as I am aware much better than anything out there at the minute.

Has anyone had any experiences with these kinds of lenders?

Any risks involved here??

Many thanks for your advice.

Regards,

90% LTV... low to mid 4's would seem in order for straight forward cases IF a 2 yr fix is your thing.

direct to lender- think he means I know about the deal but can't process... you could do some searching yourself or see what he is offering in terms of fee/ business for the work

Natwest have just dropped their rate for 10% FTB to 5.39%
30th June 2021 completely debt free…. Downsized, reduced working hours and living the dream.
  • Thanks for the responses guys.

PAYLESS - Where are you finding low to mid 4% 90% LTV's???

DAVILOWN - Thanks for the info. Our offer is agreed in principle so I guess that means we could enquire about the lower rate??

    Thanks.
