I wanna: Move to Italy!

Hi,
OK I've already got a thread about learning Italian, but it was really helpful and I don't want to drag it off-topic so I've started this thread.
I'm moving to Milan late in February with about E2000, no Italian skills (well, I'm hoping to learn some before I get there, depends how good the Michel Thomas CD's work for me!).
When I get there, I need to get a job and a place to stay (not necessarily a flat of my own obviously; that'd be pricey I'm guessing, just somewhere; probably flatmates with some students or something like that).
I've done research online but I don't have a contact in Italy unfortunately, and what with knowing no Italian (I'm moving there 'cos I've always wanted to learn another language, and this is the best way so I'm going for it!), it's hard to find pages that aren't touristy (i.e., that're actually useful!).

I think that you will need some kind of national insurance number before you can work there. Quasar will probably be more helpful than me. Good luck with it.Amazon No:170

That would be great! I need work and a place to stay, I found a site called http://www.clickflatshare.co.uk/Milan/ which seems pretty good, but I'd prefer to figure out where I could get work (as I don't speak Italian yet) and then find somewhere convenient to there, haven't found any good sites for finding work yet so I might just find a very temporary flat so I don't have to stay at hotels (expensive!)!
Also, I haven't found the cheap way of travelling from the airport in Bergamo (where Ryanair land) to Milan yet.0 -

Thanks
I'll be landing there on Ryanair (it's only £9.95, next cheapest is alot more!), and then paying E7 for an hour bus ride to Central Milan (http://www.aboutmilan.com/milan-airport-transfer.html).
Haven't arranged accomodation yet because it's too early, but it looks like it'll cost me about £100 a week to share with 1 person, not sure which area of the city I'd like to live in though, don't know the city well enough to make a good call on this I don't think...0 -
From Bergamo airport into Milan take the bus.It leaves just outside the arrivals hall and arrives at Milan Central Station. Trip takes 45mins. and costs 6 euros.
flat share look at https://www.easymilano.it magazine, there is a downloadable pdf file of the latest magazine.
Good luck......Science is the antidote to the poison of enthusiasm and superstition.......0
