where to sell my wedding dress

Afternoon all :)

I'm getting married next year for the second time, and I still have my first wedding dress in the attic (it's about 4/5 years old but still a modern style).
I was intending to butcher it and make something out of it, pillows or bags for the BM and me at my wedding next year, but h2b said he'd find that a bit creepy :p

I feel bad letting it sit in the attic, it's in perfect condition and someone else could get the use of it - but I've no idea where/how to go about selling it.
I live in Northern Ireland, but could sell and post it anywhere as it's in a storage box etc - but was hoping someone here might know of a site/shop where you can sell dresses?

Thanks,
Bratzy

    I've been Money Tipped!
Try ebay or preloved or some of the wedding forums that have for sale sections.

oh hadn't heard of preloved - must give it a look.
I had thought of eBay but didn't think there were many second hand dresses on there. But could be worth a shot, thanks!

double mummy, it's a phil collins dress and size 16, strapless, ivory etc. I don't have a model number or anything, it's from 2007/2008 but there's a pic of it below if that helps?

wow, that's a great list, thanks so much!!
It's totally not my style of dress, it's something I was pushed into as 'it's what everyone wears' but hopefully it'll sell well if it's what 'everyone' wears lol

not what i would wear either but very pretty and elegant

i think it will sell well

also forgot to mention other bridal forums

and could also be handy if you could find out the name or number of the dress to add to the description when selling it

  • It's far to nice for butchering for pillows. It could be shortened into an evening gown & the excess made into a short jacket.
Otherwise keep it in storage unless you can recoup half of what you paid for it.

here's hoping. sounds silly but I feel bad for it sitting in a box when it could be used on someone else's day.
Will try to find the model number/name too, there's nothing on the label and I can't even remember if the shop told me it, but everyone seems to want to know these things these days.
