You could try using tineye.com, it is a reverse search engine for images (ie you upload an image and it tries to find it on the Internet). I haven't used it much but it is worth a go?

  • Check if its a sTUART Parvin. He certainly has one very very similar.
This is one of his : http://bridal.stewartparvin.com/classic-collection
but I remember seeing that same top recently.
Might have been in his last years collection?

Sorry mandi, I fail to see where in the OP we were asked if we liked the dress? As for your comment about views, perhaps 300 people looked and couldn't recognise the dress.

Back to the OP, sorry idont recognise the dress but agree it looks a bit stewart parvin in style. The website where you can search for the same image looks good, am going to play with that later!

Ps actually like the neckline and waist detail and at least dress is not boring bog standard strapless!
  • I can never understand how people go on random boards that they don't usually visit, just to be nasty. They must have nothing better to do than trawl the boards looking for people to hurt and upset. The dress might not be everyone's cup of tea - but that's the same for a lot of dresses. You go to a wedding and say that the bride looks beautiful because that dress reflects their personality and style, not because it's necessarily something that you'd choose yourself. At least, that's my experience of the weddings I've been to.

I came on here yesterday, looked, didn't recognise the dress so left without comment. I'm sure that's what most people did.

  • And by the way - I think that the top and waist are lovely and taken from a different angle and minus the gloves it would look even better! The bottom half is ok, but to princessy for my taste

I've spent an hour Googling combinations of strapless, A-line, princess, ball gown, crumb catcher, beaded waist, full skirt etc etc and looking through the resultant pictures, and I can't find it. Most with full skirts like that seem to have corset type bodies, then the ones with crumb catchers have straighter skirts!

As you may have guessed, I've not got much work to do, so I'll keep looking.

I also tried tineye.com, but it just took me back to etsy. And I can only find Stuart Parvins 2011 collection - thought it might be 2010 dress.

And the nasty comments are not what this board is about. Give opinions when asked for opinions, and help when asked for help. Supposed to be a friendly helpful board! :D
