Ideas needed

Hello all,
I'm looking to try and raise £1200 over the next 3 months or so to cover the costs of a treatment that would make a significant difference to the quality of my life.
I really have no idea where to start though, the salary just about covers all of the expenses so I don't have a great deal of start up capital - maybe £50 if I push it...
I'm not looking for a step by step guide, but some pointers of where to start looking and seeds of ideas would be gratefully recieved - also, is it realistic to try for the 3 month timescale?
I am looking for part time jobs to fit around the main job - bar work etc etc but drawing blanks at the moment.
Is there anyone willing to punt an idea or two my way?

Hey catflea,
There are many ways of making that amount of £'s however with a very limited start up budget and a time limit, it's cutting your options down severely. Firstly, does it HAVE to be within 3months?
The basics are selling on ebay, trading in old gold for cash, music magpie for CDS/DVDS/games, mazuma/envirophone old mobiles, use quidco for cashback sites for any big purchase that you were going to do anyway, car boots, online surveys etc.
If you are in it for longer than the 3 months and want to start a small business then there are many other things I could suggest dependant upon your interest!
Hope this helps!

The 3 months timescale is a "personal" thing in that I have goals that I want to achieve within a certain timeframe and the treatment in question is part of that. If it has to run longer, than it has to run longer.
Small business might be a good idea, but I'm not sure I'd be allowed to run one from where I am living. Anything that would help keep the pennies rolling in longer term has to be a good thing. I've often thought of going self employed but have no good ideas for what I could do....Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
Raising £1200 is possible, but unless you have high value items to sell or trade in you will have to extend your timescale. There are plenty of ideas on the board (look through old threads with similar requests) but nothing is guaranteed. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Hi catflea

Party planning - Good way to make some profit and you get to meet and make lovely new friends
I have had a go at a few and have found that Body Shop was the one for me
If you are thinking about party plan companies have a look at what they offer and most of all choose one whose products you like - you'll find that you sell more of products you love
Good luck

That will be happening very shortly. When I refit the carpet and put all of the trim items back on the rover... :rotfl:Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0
