Well I have 4 pine wardrobes, 4 chest of drawers, 4 bedside cabinets all boxed and all free courtesy of tesco and MFI deals and ready to go into my yet to be built extension.
I also have/will have a total of £3,000 in MFI vouchers to spend by the end of April courtesy of clubcard deals; so lots of freebies there, en-suites, kitchen appliances and kitchen cupboards etc; depending on what we chose.
I am also sat on a free PC chair courtesy of MFI/tesco and just about to get into my free king size victorian bed - yes free again. My DS is asleep in his pine bunk beds - yes free again !
MFI vouchers have been great for our family ! if I have vouchers to use at Tescos etc I tend to buy primarily food items so not so many freebies on the house front there, but then I am collecting points to convert into yes MFI vouchers.

I'd go with welshy with the tesco vouchers and spend in MFI

How about your local freecycle?...you can grab some excellent bits for free on there
Have you tried R & R's in Tesco?...there may be items for your home or use the money refunded on items?...so it works out free
Would you class clicking on ipoints etc as free money?...then you could use the vouchers to buy items for your home.
Good luck on your quest

I suggest that you join as many of your local freecycle groups as possible as well. I am a member of several here in the north west and have got rid of and received great stuff..all free! including receiving a brand new mattress. There are computers, all sorts of furniture, rugs, kitchen stuff tvs and even the odd car..keeping things out of landfill. Hope you do what you set out to do.Life is too short for learning from your own mistakes0

Good luck - freecycle sounds like a much better idea. I really don't understand why anyone thinks that vouchers from multinationals are free. We all pay somewhere along the line.0

So what is all this MFI and Tesco thing then? How do you get that much for free? (Sorry if I'm being stupid here!)
I'm just buying my first flat too and could do with some free things, expensive business!
Thanks
Bingo - £107.02 :T0 -
i agree, tesco vouchers, freecycle, etc, also keep your ear to the ground for stuff being thrown out by friends, family etc you can use. never turn anything down, you never know what they might offer you next!! but might not if they think you shunned them once. also keep an eye out in local paper shops, supermarket boards for stuff people are trying to get shut of, i got dd bunk beds free cos i could collect off a supermarket board, they just wanted rid. keep an eye out for anyone doing revovation/alterations in your area, and if they are skipping stuff ask if you can have anything thats of use, most people say yes cos its more room for rubbish in there skip, and less to pay if they are being charged by weight. hth

Look for extra clubcard pionts vouchers on teh vouchers forum (1000 points for £50 or £75 of grocery home delivery for example). 1000 Tesco Clubcard points = £10 clubcard voucher which can be exchanged for £40 worth of goods at MFI.
