It needs rest, stop standing on it.

Ive had many joint injections and for me they work instantly but i do know from others that it does normally take a few days, but with rest and theleg up and maybe a cushion under your knee.

    Ibruprofen 400 works for me.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • I have them in my back and shoulders regularly sometimes I'm fine other times in worse for a week after but they really help occasionally the odd one seems to do nothing I guess they miss the spot then
Rest use heat and cold and any pills that you are allowed and I'm sure you will be feeling better if not contact the Dr again
    good luck

My wife had a similar injection two days ago in her thumb.

Yesterday she said that the pain was worse than before she had the injection but this morning it is much more comfortable.

I think you will find the symptoms will subside over the next few days - if they don't, contact your GP.

She had a similar course of treatment a few years ago for tennis elbow and usually that always seemed to be worse before it got better.

    Reference my post above :
Have just checked again by email with my wife (she's at work this morning) - she says that her experience every time has been that it takes a few days before you feel the real benefit of the injection.
