I wanna know about top up tv

I wanna know about top up tv, the only info on the website is about the new service. It's to be a rival of sorts for the sky+ box. I have looked on Amazon and Kelkoo etc but I'm totally confused. I would like to switch to top up tv as it offers the same channels we watch on sky for a lot less cost. Can anyone advise???

Thanks for all the help in advance :)

Hi Ark I have been investigating this too and sad to say it doesn't look too promising. A relative has the old system where you pay £7.99 a month and put a card in your Freeview box or IDTV but they have closed that to new subscribers and you have to buy a box which we don't need because we have a DVD/hdd recorder that has a freeview tuner already. The cost has gone to £9.99 per month and they have cut some of the channels although the two I want are still there.

I hope someone can tell me I am wrong but I read on another forum that there are rumours that TUTV is on it's way out anyway!

  • I'm in a situation where I don't have an existing freeview box, I'm currently on sky. So it looks like the only option left is that new one at over £200  is that correct??

I hope someone can tell me I'm wrong but that's what my research tells me, I won't be paying £200 for a box I don't need just to watch UKTV Gold!

  • Looks like I'm going to have to do a deal with sky then doesn't it to try and cut the cost
