Making an offer to my IVA company

hi all
i am 3 years into my IVA with £10,000 left and have been offered £3500 by my dad to offer to the IVA company as a full and final settlement. they are having a meeting mid jan to vote on the matter. if they accept i'll pay back 30p in the pound. my wife has £500 in savings but i am reluctant to offer this as the dept and IVA are nothing to do with her. should i accept it and offer this money on top?
has anyone had any success offering lower amounts?
regards
nick

Personally, I think it unlikely your creditors will accept (with knowing all the ins and outs). At 30p in the pound, your creditors would split £1050 between them, £2450 would go to your IVA manager. No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

Even with the extra from your wife I doubt that they would accept that as full and final.Debt £5600 all 0%0

hi had creditors meeting today, only two of the six creditors voted. they both vote in my favour so i am iva FREE.

That's great news. What happens now then? This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

That's absolutley brilliant. Well done Dad!
Did you go through a company for your IVA or through CCCS or Payplan? Like you we are 2 1/2 years into our plan. We don't have a clue what we have left on ours!We finally did it! Debt free 28/6/10 :T  :T :beer:0 -
hi i went through payplan, and they were really good. i offeres them an extra 500 and they said they would sit on it and offer it if any of the creditors refused:beer: IVA FREE0
