Opening a Bank that isnt connected to Creditors

Good afternoon,
I wonder if somone could kindly help.
Myself and partner are in the middle of setting up a DMP with CCCS and are now at the stage where we need to open a new bank account (Jointly and one for us each)
Our Creditors are
Barclaycard
Yorkshire Bank
Capital One Credit Card
MBNA Credit Card
Mint Credit Card
HFC Finance
Hitachi Finance
Santendar Finance I think! (Burton Store card)
Could you advise if Lloyds TSB, Royal Bank of Scotland and Halifax are linked to any of the above? These are the banks that have basic accounts we are considering applying for.
Thank you ever so much for any help.
:-)

I could be wrong but I think Mint might be owned by RBS and then RBS and Halifax are linked. There's a document somewhere that breaks it all down, if I can see it I'll post a link.
What about the Co-operative Bank?0 -
Co-op cashminder, or Nat west step account spring to mind.
They are both better off being opened in branch rather than online though.Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -

I thought Halifax was linked to Bank of Scotland, not RBS. I could also be wrong though!Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.

Also, check out all the info on the DMP Mutual Support Thread - Part 7. There's reams of the stuff, but very valuable.

I had the same problem when both Lloyds and Barclays closed my accounts. I went with Natwest, got no complaints with them at all.
I wouldn't touch Lloyds with a barge pole, stay well clear of them. They don't know their !!!! from their elbow and don't communicate within.0
