*RANT Alert* A bit of background The place where we are having the ceronomy is a baronal style house in red sandstone the carpets inside are navy blue almost black in one room and red in the other room although the wall are cream we will have acess to both if the weather is wet and use them for a drinks reception whilst the photos are being taken. Although we can get married outside in the gardens if the weather is nice. To save money and so we don't have to worry about where people are staying we are having the reception at the family holiday home which is 1970's the main room having curtain with big orange poppies on a brown background (nicer than it's describe here). I would like to some how tie these places together using autumnal colours but don't want purple as I personally feel that alot of people will be using purple.
The problem is I'm having trouble with BMs and colour schemes as two of them and my mum hate the blue and chocolate colour scheme I first thought of . my best friend who has asian skin has pointed out that she would look a bit lost is brown but likes the blue. My Sister hates both! and I'd hate to have her in something she doesn't feel confindent in as she lacks confidence and get the giggles when she's nervous!she created a massive que at her graduation cause of her giggles ( so i'm going to suggest an extra hour for photos!) the thing is I really like them all in the same colour I don't mind if the wear different styles as I feel this would work better as ones an apple shape, one alethic type build and one a petite hourglass shape! I hope to get this sorted soon as want to get on with make the invites and use the colour of the dresses in the invites! I just feel at the moment I'm loosing control of having the wedding I've dreamed about but don't really know how to put this across without hurting anyones feelings!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

my brother is having a harvest sort of thing as mentioned above, why dont you go with champagne colour dresses, thats what im having!
My BM are not even wearing any of the main colour as we are having regal antique theme!
They could have a coloured sash on a champagne dress that way it could go with with the ivory cream card on the invites?? xAccept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue. Only fools are statues every day. (15.09.12 cant wait!)0 -
Ivory and old gold.
Keep the orange poppies curtains tied back and put some cheap voile over the windows.
I always think purple is rather funereal.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
We are going for an autumn theme. Having browns, deep oranges, golds, bronzes etc. My dress is also champagne colour with gold sash. Bridesmaids will be in brown (hopefully!):T0
