Orange & Three, retrieval of account details - second LBM!

Hiya everyone!

Ok, so I posted in here a while ago, having had my first lbm, but I didn't take it much further if I'm honest... But now I'm living with my fiance and we're beginning to plan our wedding and are looking towards the future, I think it's something that we have to do.
Now, we are both entitled to apply for a debt relief order through the CAB, but what this post is mainly about is as follows:

I have been trying to contact all of my creditors today to find out my account numbers, and the outstanding balance's so I can inform the CAB and for use in the DRO.

I have contacted several of them, most of which have been more than willing to help me, and have given me all of the details I have needed but...

I called Orange Mobile in order to retrieve this information from them and spoke to a very unhelpful guy who told me that unless I had the account number or telephone number of the contract in question, he could not find me within their system. Now, I informed him I had neither of those, and that I was calling him to find out the account number, and he just kept repeating the same thing - to which I replied "how am I supposed to clear the debt if I cannot retrieve the account information" - and his response was simply "I dunno". I asked to be put through to a supervisor / manager but he point blank refused, telling me that they would inform me of exactly the same.

What am I supposed to do about this? As I cannot give the CAB/DRO any information about the account therefore it cannot be added to the DRO, and will still remain on my credit file, being impossible for me to do anything about!

Secondly, I called Three mobile regarding a contract taken out in 2009, and asked for the information for that account, to be told, there was an outstanding amount of £40.30, but the same amount had been credited at a later date, and there was no debt on the account. Now, this totally confuses me as I am sure the debt was for more than this, and I know for definite I have never made a payment on the account so am unsure where the credit has came from - but she couldn't give me any details!

If anybody knows any contact details I could use to find out the above information (account numbers and outstanding debt) from npower, that would be great!

Thanks for any help,

I dont know about NPower, but if you are struggling with the rent-a-twit in the call centre who flat-out refuses to do his job, trying getting put through to the 'rententions' team. How you get there is different for most companies, but the easiest method is to either dial 4 x 0s when the tele-voice asks for an account number, or say you are 'leaving' the company and refuse to discuss it further with the call centre. The chances are you'll get put through to someone with a little seniority who can help you. Once there, you can explain your predicament and probably get the information you need.
