New Year Calamity..My Leather Bag Has A Nasty Melted Chocolate Stain All Over :(

Heeelllp! My favourite red leather clutch bag has a nasty stain on the back.
I was drunk at New Years, dancing holding my bag and didn't realise I had a few chocolates in the pocket inside..so it's melted all over. Washing the fabric inside wasn't a problem, but it's left a darkened stain all over the back of the bag.
I've read a few threads about cleaning leather. I've tried talc to see if would help, no luck. Any other suggestions?
When I first bought the bag I rubbed Dubbin all over it, hoping it would help as a stain protector, obviously it hasn't really
Any advice would be appreciated.
