I thinking about cooking in batches and freezing to save money and was wondering what you all freeze your food in?

I thinking of doing mainly potatoe dishes like cottage pie etc. Do I freeze the in the same pot i'm going to heat the in the oven in??? Also where can i get something to freeze it in cheap?
