You share the same postcode with lots of your neighbours, and it is the house number that is the defining thing for it to be delivered to your house, so altering the postcode slightly is completely safe - i.e. LS18 becomes LS8, LS6 or whatever, or LS18 1BY becomes LS18 2BY. It still gets delivered to the house number and street.

If you are No.8, for example, putting 8A or 8B is safe (as long as there is no 8A or 8B in your street!) because No.8 is the nearest thing the postie can deliver to.

I would have thought it better to alter the house number if you have the correct name because the post code defines the area of the city it needs to be at, changing the postcode might be a problem in bigger cities.

I'm gob smacked that you have got more than one sample as I can't even get one! I fill all the info in then it tells me I'm already registered. OK so I try to login and it doesn't recognise my details! Think I'll be clever n ask for my password to be sent to my email. Then it tells me it does not recognise my email address. Why not? I've only got one email address so could not have used a different one previously. I went through this on 3 seperate occassions before giving up. I tried looking through q & a for a clue. I even sent an email asking why - no reply. Grrr
