Weekend Work

I have been trying for the last couple of months searching for weekend work to no avail. I know that companies use people over weekends for data inputting or customer services but I just cant seem to make any headway with it.

I have phoned round all the temping agencies as this would be the ideal solution for my current situation as I am due to have a baby in December (Xmas Eve to be precise) So I am just wanting to make a little extra money for my family up to then. The agencies say they dont have anything and when they get it they advertise it. I have not seen anything. I have also gone onto the supermarket websites etc but in all honesty it's office work that would be better as I dont think I would hold out standing for a long while, however of course I would give it a try to see.

I already do numerous serveys and cashback websites and this just goes straight into the bank to top up the current account. I just want to do more to help out the finance side of things instead of watching DH stressing over it.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know of companies who I could contact that do employ people on as when needed basis or something. I'm sure they wouldnt offer me a permanent weekend job knowing that I wouldnt be able to work after Xmas.

Perhaps it's just a bad idea all round and just ride the tide til I can look for a more permanent solution

hiya, i know most hotels are always crying out for casual staff. I worked in hotels whilst preg with my first and a nightclub up until around 7mth preg with my second.
Hotels always need receptionists pref with experience of a front office system such as fidleo (which is easy enough to learn and u can get £8+ an hour once you know the basics) I was a temp for a while and could basically choose what work I wanted as i was fidelio trained.... Once you have worked on one reception desk, they train you up and you are set

What about checkouts at a supermarket? Most of those are seated, certainly where I work.

I have already tried the four supermarkets that are near me and they isnt anything available, not even stacking shelves. I hadnt thought of hotels, that is such a good one. there is an agency that deal with the hotel and catering industry so I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Thank you so much for the ideas.
