House insurance....

Zurich, my current insurance, sent me a quote in May....
£977 per annum.....
I rang them and said it was too high... However they just went ahead with it.... It comes out of my B/A every month!
I went to my bank who asked why there was so much coming out for my insurance, I told them I was burgled 3 years ago and the claim was for approx £4000. They have said they will beat zurich and match my policy details... I am going to go for it, as they said they would pay any fine that was applicable to Zurich..
Is this too good to be true?
What is the going rate for ins... I live in a 6 bedroomed bungalow with detached Garage...in a not too nice area!! BT30 postcode!
