Nursing Uniforms - where to buy in Glasgow?

Hi folks, and a Guid New Year to you all!

Can anybody tell me where I can buy 'scrubs'? I have been searching round for somewhere I can buy them in Glasgow - don't want to buy online - and can't seem to find anywhere. There used to be a shop in Queen Street who sold all kinds of stuff like this but I think it's closed now.

Would appreciate if somebody could let me know where I can buy them.

makro's a good bet usually.

They do a lot of lines from alexandra workwear, and your employer should be able to give you a note on headed notepaper if you're not already a member...

Thanks grex but this is a one-off purchase and I don't really want to join up just for this.

I am sure there must be a shop somewhere where the nurses can buy their stuff, I just can't find it!

Clinical scrubs are property of the hospital generally speaking ...

The nurses/surgeons etcetera wear them and have to get changed afterwards to avoid cross contamination/infection etcetera ...

They are then boil washed by the hospital and put out fresh for the next member of staff to wear ...

Your best bet is making friends with a nurse who doesn't mind borrowing them ... ahem ...

It's how I got mine ... cheapest fancy dress costume ever!

Thanks folks, I will have a look round that forum and see if somebody knows, but MrChris has more or less confirmed what I suspected - supplied/laundered by hospitals.

Must ask around to see if somebody knows a medical person.......
