A fair few people asking for tickets joined in August,on HUKD for example freebies are usually offered to longer standing members first.I'm surprised that doesn't happen here.

Newbies usually get slated for joining HUKD just to ask for a freebie.

I can see where you are coming from. It's also not fair though, that as a local I've had to beg for a pair of tickets (and I've not managed it) and people living miles away have them going spare and have been swapping with people from miles away.

I think the generosity of members on here is great and it would be wrong to attack a newbie just because we are cheeky enough to ask.

I'm local too, myself, my mum, my dad and my gran all applied for tickets (3 of the families live in bpool) and none of us got any so im begging too with not much luck now i guess but its just the luck of the draw i suppose, ppl were lucky enough to get them miles away, cant get there so its easier to offer to local ppl near them.

Hope you manage to get some :)

I'd like to think the newbies who get the freebies go on to help others on here and don't just disappear.

I suppose as far as the organisers are concerned the people who live miles away are going to be spending more than locals because of needing to buy food and maybe staying over for a long weekend. The locals will most likely be taking their own refreshments (picnics etc) then going home to sleep. I applied and got some but when I worked out how much it was going to cost I realised it wasn't within my means and have given my tickets away on here to more local people who asked. So no harm done.
  • I would like to thank Barbara and Adrienne for our tickets we recieved them this morning, Your both brilliant and its very kind of you. Thanks again :)
