Does anyone know how to heat these without a microwave? Could they be boiled in the bag or cooked in a little water on the hob.

Boil in the bag or steam them in a steamer. We haven't had a microwave for over 10 years. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

they usually tell you on the bag, some say to put a small amount of water in a wok and add rice.0

my bag of microwave rice says you can put the rice into boiling water for 2 - 3 mins then drain, fluff with a fork and serve. personally i would add a little salt to the water, but thats up to you.0

I often use these when camping, I just empty the bags into a pan, add a splash of water then stir until very hot!0
