Stew on the go in the SC, but theres not much liquid. Do I need to add more water so that the dumplings can simmer? Or can I just bung them in?
Thanks :j

How long have you been cooking the stew for? If its not been long then water will appear the longer its in. You could add a bit of water if you like but I reckon it should be fine without. Don't forget to cut the dumpling with the side of your fork to stop them going 'sad'! (I'm starving now!)0

Sorry to disagree
I'd add a bit more water, as dumplings need the steam to rise and cook.

Arent dumplings just the best?
I love them so much but hardly ever have them!0 -
I made beef stew and dumplings yesterday in my slow cooker - yum. Someone (on here i think) said to put baking powder in when making the dumplings and it makes them really light, so I've done that the last few times and we have dumplings every week now they're soooo gorgeous.0
