Digital Cameras - What to buy?

Righteo I need some help and I need it fast.
I need to get a digital camera asap. I want to spend £150 (inclusive of extra bits - case/memory card etc) and it needs to be fairly resilient as I am going to Africa - I still am unsure about whether to go for an AA battery powered camera or internal rechargable (boths have merits as AA are easier to come by in Ghana but not necessarily super quality and rechargable is easier but I might not always be able to recharge).
I was previously recommended on this board a Canon a530 (I could get this for £99) but have just got convinced that maybe I should go for a panasonic…I have narrowed it down to three…
1 Panasonic LZ3 £114 online
2 Panasonic FX3 £129 from comet
3 Panasonic LS2 £69 from comet
all have different attributes the LZ3 has great spec and takes batteries, but the FX3 has a better lense (leica) and the LS2 is just plain cheap…..
Can you help? Thanks so much

I would recommend THIS from Jessops. You will then have plenty left over for card + case etc.
I would definately recommend a battery one rather than a rechargeable one.
Get yourself some 2500+mAh rechargeable batteries and a good charger and you wont be dissapointed.:beer:0 -

The LS2 was rated as 5* by a couple of the digicam magazines in reviews, including batteries and charger and a couple of big SD cards you will be well in budget, lashing money on lots of megapixels on a budget camera is a waste of time as the majority of lenses won't cope anyway and it's all digital jiggery pokery. A 4-5MP camera at that budget should more than suffice0
