Cleaning up my credit report

Hi,
I have had a credit card for years that defaulted years ago and my ex wife set up a minimum payment offer of £100 per month on a £13000 debt through some third party company as we couldnt afford the repayments.
I have recently made the company an offer which they have accepted as partially settled.
How long is all this mess going to stay on my credit file for as all the £100 payments show as defaults.
Any advice would be great

What was the date of original default as shown on your credit file - the default and the whole record of the account will go 6years after that original default date.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
