The deal looks good, but the 4 free sims form looks a bit suspicious...

The form sends your details as an email to phil.moss@sprintcoms.com, not a vodafone address, and the number to buy handsets just looks like a random mobile number. Also the website to me looks a bit dodgy (untitled pages etc.)

Yes it does look dodgy as far as the 4 free sims are concerned.

Some useful info on the Vodafone offer here http://forum.niftylist.co.uk/index.php?topic=1915.0

We got one of the 4 sims I applied for on the 4freesims.com site today, and as I said in the free sims thread, I don't think it's a legit offer. The envelope was hand-addressed, and it just included the sim, no packaging and a number to call. Sounds quite dodgy to me.

I also noticed (after applying--otherwise I wouldn't have wasted my time) that the site doesn't have any links on it back to the Vodafone site or even a copyright Vodafone statement at the bottom. Any legit Vodafone site would have one or probably both of those things on them somewhere. Not to mention that the flash intro has a very pixelated Vodafone logo at the beginning, something that I doubt Vodafone would let slide.

I just noticed this after posting my post. Anyway, you can get free sims direct from Vodafone at the moment (2 per order) and join Vodafone Family for a single monthly charge of £5 for one of the group members, that allows unlimited calls between members of the group, you can have a group size of 6 for £7 a month, could split the charge between all members. I use it, it's handy. There is no need to use another site to take advantage of free sims or Vodafone Family.

    Hi

I work for for Vodafone and may be able to offer some help.

The original link is not a Vodafone offer, it seems to be offered from a 3rd party/ independent dealer.

A genuine Vodafone offer will normally have a link back to the Vodafone homepage, or at least a link to the Vodafone T's and C's.

For latest deals/ promotions, the safest way will to always check the Vodafone homepage first.
  • that 4 free sims site is dodgy people, just trying to get you contact details and use for whatever they wish
