It wasn't the best start for her job given that the person who hired her interviewed her then left for another job. It took them 6 weeks for HR to tell her she had the job, and forgot to tell the branch so when she arrived on her first day, they had no idea she was starting with them. It was a portent of things to come, I suppose! :-)

Some good news :-) I realise that a card with a low interest rate on which I had just been paying the minimum on had actually been accumulating charges as it was about £5 over the limit, and never going down due to their charges they kept applying.

Complained and asked for the £120 charges they had applied to be refunded (12 months)- just had a letter, they have refunded £230! Not often companies are nice and give you extra :-)

I realise I should have looked at the statement but as the card wasn't being used, I figured there was nothing look at it. Won't do that again :-)
