hi this is my first post and i hope its in the correct place.
I have recently just finished paying off a 5k loan but still have credit card debits.
The debts total about 11k spread accross 5 credit cards.
Now i currently have no problems making the minimum payments on these cards and currently my debt isnt increasing its just staying the same as i arnt making any new purchases.
So although im not in trouble as such i want to pay these debts of as soon as possible.
My first thought was to try getting a new card with 0% interest on balance transfers and transfering the debts. However i tried applying for one of these and was refused and didnt want to apply for another as i thought if i get refused again it wont help my credit rating.
i currently have people phoning me daily offering me debt consolidation but i was worried this would affect my credit rating in the future (im looking to buy a house with my girlfriend as soon as these debts are cleared)
Can anyone help with what would be the best direction to take to clear these debts as quickly as possible?
thanks

Allow at least 3 months between card applications. Your thinking is good - a balance transfer at 0% of as much debt for as long as possible should be a good thing. In the meantime you may want to post a Statement of Affairs for the gang to make suggestions on cutting expenditure, and, if you can pay more than the minimum payments, do so on the highest apr debt see snowball calculator.0
