Quick one...
How many thimes are creditors allowed to telephone you, I have had 3 calls from LLoydsTSB Card Services today, 2 yesterday and also calls to my mobile number at strange times of the day, ie. 9.30 at night or early mornings.
Is there a rule about this and if so does anybody have a template letter I can send them to basically tell them not to call me at 9.30 on a saturday night.
Thanks

Hi,
They will call as many times as they can really, in order to bully/harass you into paying them some money. Send them the letter below via recorded delivery and if they ignore it, don't go through the security check with them when they do call, tell them you only wish to be contacted in writing and hang up.
Good luck

Dear Sirs,
Account No: XXXXXXXX
I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing. I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls and I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only. I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine. Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company may be recorded and used in evidence and I expect this harassment to cease immediately.
Yours faithfullyIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

a way to stop them, is really to setup a plan to repay what you oweDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

How about over 11 calls in one morning from one company I owed money to. Well not them personally as they were just the money collectors0

Change your numbers ASAP.0

I wouldn't change my numbers, i would just tell them to get lost, hang up and then send the no contact letter. Good luck.
You could always do a selection of 80s hits to them down the phone."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -

If you changed your number then you will have peace instead of having to put up with the hassle.0 -
Agree with one post and that is to arrange a repayment plan to pay back what you owe. Money doesn't grow on trees I am sure you are aware on that. That is likely the reason your getting so many phone calls. There not bullies there not pests there looking some form of communication from you and there money.
My DCA's have not phoned me over the past year, that's because I stick to my agreements.
P.S The_Hunter - oh the irony0
