Why not take him out for the day. My son is two at the end of January and i don't want to buy him anything else so i thinki'm taking him to Sealife Centre or a kiddies farm or something similar. Hope this helps.

Hiya,
Just a wee idea, as I have 3 teenage sons now but one who's birthday is 6th of January so I can sympathise with you (and I'm a February birthday myself).
Anyway take a look at what the young lad got for Christmas and see if there is anything you can add to, such as duplo sets, train sets and dare I even say scalectrix. Extra track on either of the last two is always welcome as is accessories for all.
If he has none of the above, consider starting a set, that way you are never stuck what to get them for their birthday / christmas for a number of years to come.
You could probably manage to pick up either of the aforementioned for less than £20 in the sales.
For example boots had a scalectrix set reduced, tesco do the wooden train sets and accessories and duplo can be picked up in lots of places from Woolies to Toys r us, not to mention online retaillers for all of them with the possiblilty of cashback.
Hope this is of some help.0 -
thanks to both of you . i do like the idea of taking him out but also like the train set one as he does like going to watch the trains hope he isn't a train spotter when he gets older though.
THanks again
