Can't take up job offer

The job centre knows that you cannot leave an under age child alone at home, just tell them what happened they should understand, you cannot take the offer as it is way too far make it worse you don't drive.
Your child is your first job and they should understand that. It's better to regret something I did do than to regret something that I didn’t. :EasterBun0 -
I knew what the hours were before I applied, but didn't realise how long it would take to actually travel there until I went to the interview.0

Don't worry about it, it's too far. Just ignore it and if they ask about it say 'no luck'.0

Does your adviser know that you attended an interview or just applied for the job? Most often the claimant doesn't alert the adviser about the actual interview beforehand, only that you have applied for jobs and therefore it is not flagged up.
In answer to your question yes if your adviser knows you have reused a job then they can request a sanction. This is because sanctions can be discretionary and some advisers are less trained/more vindictive/less experienced than others. The adviser does not actually make the decision but sends the relevant information to the Decision Maker.
However if your adviser decides to take this route then they should discuss this with you and you will tell them that you have good reason not to take the job, including travel and childcare and then they will not request a sanction.
If they still do then the Decision Maker armed with the correct information would see that grounds for sanction do not apply. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0 -
What does transportdirect.info say about the travel time? That was the site I was told the sanctions team use to determine whether the job is within your travel time or not.
If that says longer than 90 minutes you should be ok even if they do find out as its outside your agreement.0 -
two hours and five minutes, including the time it takes to get my daughter to school.0
